Turkish Scarves: Sarar Spring-Summer 2012

Tuesday, March 6, 2012
Yay! The prettiest season has opened in many parts of the world... excluding Australia obviously. :) This means we are going to see happy colours everywhere even if not here at home in the land down under.

I'm loving the gorgeous pastel tones in spring-summer 2012 collections, particularly the use of varying tones of gorgeous green.

Sarar is actually one of my favoured silk scarf brands in Turkey, but this season they are far from impressing me. I'm actually quite disappointed. Now, I don't know if this is because we have been overwhelmed with a huge range of scarves on offer or if the manufacturers are just repeating themselves. So far, not much appeals to me.

Just recently I cleared out my huge range of hijabs, gave away those that I knew I will probably no longer use, and threw out those that were worn to death. :) My hijab range now consists mostly of plain hijabs which I have been wearing the most lately and a few silk ones that I know I can use forever. :)

So yeah, the Sarar collection could not impress me as I think out of their 21 styles, I only liked 2-3, and even they are like repeats of previous seasons.

So let's get to it shall we? :)

One of my favourites. Have always loved the marine theme hail, rain or shine :)

Another that I like.

I love the use of all the pastel colours here and the use of navy to create a contrast.

Loving the use of the greens, but the design... nah

So what do you think?

Ilike the clothing more than the scarves.

I love Turkish scarves, but I can never find them. I also don't like to buy internationally. It is harder to get things shipped to Dubai. I'm barely ever there. Will have to buy these kinds of scarves when I get a chance to go to Turkey (IA)!!

Mona Z, they used to be prettier :/

MissM, interesting how you say that, because Sarar is originally a very high end brand in Turkey in terms of clothing.. that's their original business :) So it seems u picked up on that :)

SippingCHai, do they not have them in Dubai? I would have thought they would be available there as I know almost all Turkish hijab manufacturers have resellers particularly in Iran and Iraq
